Joomla Hosting Reviews was established in 2005 with the goal of giving back to the Joomla community by providing a place for people to post Joomla Hosting customer reviews along with expert how-to guides and news. They are very pleased to announce their site’s latest redesign which focuses on improved features, usability, and performance enhancements.
The site was designed and created using Joomla as the content management system. The popular extension, JReviews, provides the review functionality. This latest site redesign takes full advantage of the JReviews 2.3 feature-set.
Improved Review Listing Pages
The review listing page has been redesigned from the ground up, allowing the most helpful elements of the page to be viewed first while moving some of the lesser viewed elements to the right column. In addition, an overall lighter weight and cleaner feel has been applied to all review pages. The HostGator Review is an excellent example of the new page layout.
Company Feature Comparison Tool
Previously visitors had to switch between many pages to compare the features of the different hosting companies, now visitors are able to select the Joomla Hosting companies they are most interested in, click the compare button and then see all features side by side on a single screen.
Social Networking
Joomla Hosting Reviews has made it easier to share your favorite reviews, guides and how-to articles with others. Facebook Like, Twitter retweet and Google Plus one have been added.
Expanded Review Directory
Along with the latest round of feature improvements, the Joomla Hosting Review Directory has been expanded with the addition of several new company listings. Including Pacific Host, Webempressa, and Myhosting.
Performance Enhancements
In addition to all of the end user functionality many behind-the-scene-technical improvements have been made, including the addition of a Content Delivery Network (CDN), combining of all Javascript and CSS files. All of these technical improvements contribute to a faster loading site and an improved user experience.
